National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) was established in the year 2005, under Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, to serve as a national resource center for empowerment of persons with Multiple Disabilities. NIEPMD work towards promotion of research in the areas related to Multiple Disabilities. It follows a trans-disciplinary model for social rehabilitation of diverse groups of people with Multiple Disabilities.
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is a statutory body to regulate and monitor services given to persons with disability, to standardize syllabi and maintain a Central Rehabilitation Register of all qualified professionals and personnel working in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education. RCI has granted CRE (Continued Rehabilitation Education Status to this Conference and Pre-conference Workshop and Symposia. The rehabilitation professionals attending the workshop will earn the applicable CRE points.
Sol’s Arc is an NGO that works for improving outcomes for the most vulnerable group of children (girl child, children with disabilities, orphan children, children living in urban slums / street, migrant SC/ST communities etc.) and building capacity of the teacher to teach a diverse classroom. They build inclusive learning solutions based on universal principles of designs to ensure that every last child learns. Sol’s Arc reaches out to over 2 Lakh children through their partnership across India.
Leap Ahead Assessment and Learning Centre is a multi-service centre which provides affordable and need based services in ethical fashion to ensure that students are provided necessary skills to function efficiently and reach their maximum potential. The therapies offered are Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Remedial Intervention, Counselling and Psycho-educational Testing.
